Bowles Elementary PTO Meeting Minutes 9/18/24 -

 

Welcome/ introductions - Racheal and Emily

 

Principal report - mrs noss

-Cougar attitudes - Self control and respect focus for this semester -

 

-Caring cougars update

     5129 raised so far

     Checks to bowles pto can go towards caring cougars

     no direct link for grandparents, etc. Closes oct. 4 -

 

Marquette key club - can volunteer at our events

 

City 2 game - sold 73 tickets - $365 raised -

Will do another in spring and fall next year

 

Budget: - Approved

1st grade abe lincoln request - $165 - Approved -

Dawn - New arrow signs - needs 2 - $83 for plastic per one - Metal $103 for 2 - Approved for whichever dawn thinks will work best -

5th grade - jodi c - Presenter on slavery - Want to partner with 4th grade - $250 in addition to 5th grade budget - Approved -

 

Fall spirit wear - rachael - Samples in office - 36 orders (101 items) - hit minimums required - $404 made - Will be dropped off at school next week and sent home with students

 

Trunk or treat - Oct 18 6-7pm - Flyers in friday folders and link to mtk to pay

- Need volunteers for trunks (last year 30)

- Candy monster for candy donations

- Fire truck confirmed

- Looking for school bus vol.

Rockwood gives back - Can reach out to school counselor if someone needs help or if looking for service project - Got your backpack - Need some volunteers to deliver/ pickup - Reach out to jodi - Wish lists/ amazon links - Posting to facebook page and mandy to send out link with info to donate - Discussed a winter clothes drive to donate to rockwood gives back

 

Restaurant nights - melissa - Texas road house - Made $100 - Papa johns last wed of each month - Culvers in oct. - 5th graders vol. - Nov. freddys 

Fall book fair - Parent square post coming saturday - Need volunteers - Open 2 nights of conf. In Oct. - set up 16/17th
